Teaching
Kurian George has over three decades of experience in teaching and educational leadership across the UK and international contexts. His teaching interests lie primarily in Mathematics, Physics, and Science education, with specialisms in curriculum development, differentiated teaching, and the integration of technology to enhance learning. He has taught at secondary and sixth-form levels, delivering IGCSE, A-Level, and IB Diploma Programme Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics, as well as undergraduate preparatory courses in Mathematics for international students at University College London. Kurian’s expertise extends to teacher training and professional development, having led workshops and initiatives on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), cognitive coaching, and the use of interactive technologies in classrooms. His work as an IB Coordinator included oversight of program implementation and quality assurance, supporting staff in adopting student-centred approaches and interdisciplinary learning. He has also contributed to accreditation processes with CIS, IB, and NEASC, ensuring alignment with global education standards. Kurian is passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments and helping students from diverse backgrounds achieve academic success. His interest in data-driven teaching practices has informed his leadership in tracking student progress and developing strategies to close achievement gaps.
