KMMS Sponsors ThriveKent Health Inequalities Summit

On Thursday 26 March, Patient Engagement at KMMS was proud to be a headline sponsor at the first-ever Kent Black Health Inequalities Summit held at the University of Kent.

This landmark event was dedicated to improving life outcomes for Black individuals and communities across Kent and Medway. Along with some of our academic colleagues we networked with local organisations and community groups to reach populations who are currently under-represented within the Patient Engagement programme.

We are hoping to recruit Patient Educators from diverse backgrounds, who can bring communicate their lived experiences of long-term medical conditions and accessing healthcare services/treatment to students training to be doctors at Kent & Medway Medical School in Canterbury.

Anyone interested can complete the expression of interest form to get in contact with the Patient Engagement team.
