Teaching and Assessment
Opportunities at KMMS:
This is your opportunity to inspire the next generation of medical professionals and to influence the service they will provide – by shaping the way they learn.
Whatever your specific area of expertise and responsibility, when you join KMMS, you will be helping to design, develop and deliver a completely new learning experience: embedded in the local community, focused on the individual, and yet always addressing the wider view of 21st Century, integrated healthcare.
You will find yourself working in close collaboration with internal teams across the partnership and external partners across Kent, Medway and nationally as you support the Dean in building those relationships and developing the School.
You will also be expected to look beyond practical requirements and strategic priorities – to scan the horizon for what’s new and what’s next, both in terms of the medical landscape as a whole and with regard to new ways of teaching, learning and assessment and professional excellence in all areas, whether academic or within professional services.
You will need to either be highly qualified and experienced in medical education for our academic roles or demonstrate excellence in our professional services roles , but your accomplishments so far should have left you eager to achieve more. The way we see it, you should be able to develop, manage, deliver or implement a medical curriculum, but also understand what the world expects of trend-setting curriculum design and service excellence– and be driven to achieve it.
All KMMS employees are formally contracted by the University of Kent and follow Kent’s terms and conditions as well as officially being members of both the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University. They have access to systems, training and benefits at both institutions.
Recruitment and selection process
KMMS jobs will be advertised through the University of Kent and applicants should use the University of Kent’s online application system.
CVs or details sent directly to KMMS or the universities or via any other means cannot be considered.
