Individual, year-long scholarships for KMMS first-year students of between £300 and £1,000 intended to support the recipient’s sporting excellence.
These scholarships are funded jointly by Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent to support KMMS students with existing sports achievements to further develop their skills.
Please note: The scholarships are currently only available to students entering their first year of study with KMMS and for the first year (2020/21) the successful scholars will participate in sporting activities at the University of Kent.
Conditions:
- This scholarship is open for application until 31 August 2020.
- Only students who have accepted an unconditional offer or firmly accepted a conditional offer from KMMS can apply.
- Applicants must also meet the criteria of Kent Sports’ Scholarship Scheme – see https://www.kent.ac.uk/sports/scholarships/index.html
- The amount of funding offered will be determined by the Sports Scholarship committee and each case is considered on its own merit.
- Students must achieve expected academic progress – this will be reviewed quarterly and assessed either annually, or at the end of the scholarship period.
- Applications for Sport scholarships will be accessed through a specific form for KMMS applicants.
- Kent Sports’ Scholarship committee will scrutinise applications and decide on recipients.
- Kent Sport will record and review engagement on a regular basis, and link reviews to students’ academic progress.
