About
Cathy is a Registered Nurse in Learning Disability and has substantial practice experience with people with complex and profound disabilities. She has been teaching in Higher Education for over 20 years and has developed particular interests in the use of the social model of disability, neurodiversity, and in the participation of people with learning disabilities and/ or autism in teaching. Her interests in human diversity are broad, and she is a champion of equality and inclusion.
Research interests
Cathy's research interests are in the impact of the involvement of co-teachers upon learning, and in co-produced research.
Teaching
Cathy's teaching interests lie in the fields of person-centred care, inclusive and reflective practice, and professional and personal development.
