Research interests

Chloe's PhD project focuses on utilizing various methods to modify how individuals process information about themselves and others. One key approach in her research involves the use of non-invasive brain stimulation targeted at the brain regions previously implicated in these processes. This technology not only provides causal evidence of the targeted brain area’s involvement but is also emerging as a therapeutic intervention for clinical conditions such as depression and psychosis.

In addition, Chloe is exploring the use of two-person synchronous movement, a rapidly growing field that examines social cognition through dyadic interactions, offering an understanding of the foundations of social behaviour in truly social contexts. Chloe's synchronous movement paradigm has demonstrated significant effects on the processing of self- and other-related information. Currently, her research employs this method in conjunction with brain imaging techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to elucidate the neural correlates of these effects.
