About
Dr Cooke is a GP and Senior Lecturer at KMMS having previously worked as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at Barts and The London Faculty of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London. Dr Cooke studied Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (now Imperial). She achieved her Masters in Clinical Education from IOE/UCL in 2014. Dr Cooke is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is currently an EdD student at UCL.
Research interests
Dr Cooke's research interests include Student Support in particular supporting vulnerable learners, medical professionalism, professional identity formation and mentoring and supervision.
Teaching
Dr Cooke has extensive teaching experience both in medical school and as a GP tutor in practice teaching clinical medicine and clinical and communication skills. She has also taught basic medical sciences and medical humanities. Dr Cooke has an interest in supporting students in their transition to Foundation Programme and is an experienced academic tutor and mentor.
