Rebecca holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Sussex and a master’s degree in health psychology and well-being. During their postgraduate studies, they worked as a Research Assistant on a project investigating behaviour change techniques—specifically goal setting—to increase physical activity among individuals with pre-diabetes. In October 2024, they joined Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) as a Research Assistant on a project led by Professor Sukhwinder Shergill, which examines the dynamic relationship between circadian biomarkers, sleep, cognition, and mental health. Alongside this role, they are undertaking a PhD focused on exploring the impact of circadian misalignment on emotion and cognition.
Research interests
Sleep science; health and well-being; behavioural interventions for lifestyle-related health outcomes and management of long-term health conditions.
