About
Taiwo Ladapo is a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education and the Specialty Lead for Year 4 Paediatrics at the KMMS. She holds an MSc in Clinical Education from the Queens University, Belfast, UK and is keen to contribute to the education of the next generation of medical students. She was a Lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria, where she was involved in various aspects of undergraduate medical education before relocating to the UK. She currently practises as a Consultant Paediatrician at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
Research interests
Taiwo has co-authored several publications in paediatrics, some of have been presented at regional and international conferences. She is currently exploring further research in medical education leadership.
Teaching
Taiwo is experienced in undergraduate teaching in a variety of formats and settings. Over, the past 5 years, she has been involved in the teaching and assessment of medical students at the Queen’s University in Belfast and King's College, London, alongside her clinical practice. She has several awards in medical education including an award from the Queen's University in Belfast, in recognition of exceptional contribution to the Healthcare of Children Teaching programme from 2017 to 2018.
