Exciting, Challenging, Important.

The impacts of light on circadian rhythm, daily performance, and sleep, and its impacts on health and wellbeing in all populations.

Tell us about your current research projects.

I am currently undertaking a systematic review looking at the importance of Pupil Light Reflex as an indicator of neurodegenerative diseases and other health markers.

What do you hope is the impact of your research?

I would like to be able to change people’s perception on the importance of light in their lives as well as how detrimental it can be to sleep when subjected to it late at night.

What is the most significant or surprising thing to come out of your research so far?

Blue eyes react faster to light than brown eyes.

What advice would you give a researcher just starting out in your field of work?

When you’re not working as a researcher, what do you love doing?

Sport: Golf, Football, Tennis or watching Formula One.
