Scholarships FAQs

Can I apply for more than one KMMS Scholarship?

You may apply for multiple KMMS scholarships; however, you must apply for them separately following the ‘How to apply’ section detailed on each scholarship page.

I am a graduate; can I still apply?

Please read the scholarship criteria for each award, if you meet these criteria, you can apply.

I only have some of the evidence listed under the scholarship criteria, can I still apply?

Yes, please supply all of the information that you do have to support your application. The more information you can supply will help the scholarship panel make an informed decision. Additional information cannot be considered after your application has been submitted. Not all conditions for many of the scholarships can be met by our students; the criteria are indicative of the things you might want to write in your application, and for which you will need to provide some evidence.

How do I submit my supporting statement?

Your statement should be in either a Word or PDF format and attached to the application email that you send to kmmsscholarships@kent.ac.uk

I am a graduate; Can I get a letter of support from my Tutor/Supervisor?

Yes, a statement from your Tutor/Supervisor would be acceptable.

What is a school transcript?

A transcript details your full award, for example, an A Level transcript would show your overall grade as well as a breakdown of your marks for each individual module.

What is meant by ‘other academic achievement’ or ‘academic prize’?

These are any achievements that you may have gained outside of your usual school certificates.

Do all of the postgraduate conditions have to be met?

Not all conditions for many of the scholarships can be met by our students; the criteria are indicative of the things you might want to write in your application, and for which you will need to provide some evidence.

Do I need to fill out an application form?

No, please attach all of the required evidence and documents as stated under the ‘How to apply’ section to an email and send to kmmsscholarships@kent.ac.uk, stating which scholarship you wish to be considered for. Please note: you will need to do this for each scholarship you wish to be considered for separately.
