Medicine is a demanding course physically, intellectually, emotionally and financially. Medical students frequently need additional and often unexpected support so the Dean’s Fund has been established to help our students in a variety of ways. This year a gift to the Dean’s Fund could:
- Assist with hardship bursaries for students whose family income has been reduced due to Covid-19 or where a student has been unable to take up part-time work to support their studies.
- Support students whose mental health and wellbeing are jeopardised by unexpected illness.
- Other exceptional and unexpected events can cause a student financial hardship which places a student at serious risk of failing to qualify as a result of financial pressures. The Dean’s Fund will provide grants to assist with essential living expenses while students continue to study on their programme.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss ways in which you can support our students further or give now.
